Information collected through the quote wizard and application
- Contact details: name, email address, and phone number you provide as the applicant or authorized representative.
- Property and coverage details: address, county, year built, square footage, construction, foundation, retrofit status, desired coverage limits, and related underwriting questions you answer in the wizard.
- Signature and consent records: your typed or drawn electronic signature image, the consent text and version you agreed to, and the date/time of signing.
- Technical and audit data: IP address, browser/device user-agent string, and submission timestamp, recorded on the application audit page for e-signature compliance (ESIGN Act / UETA).
- Usage analytics: if enabled, aggregated page-view and event analytics (see "Analytics" below). We do not sell this data.
Fields you leave blank are simply not collected. Answers you type into the wizard before submitting are saved temporarily in your browser's local storage only, so you can resume later on the same device — this data is not sent to us until you submit the application.
Purpose of collection
We use the information you submit to: fill and deliver your residential earthquake insurance application packet; route it for review by a licensed broker; respond to your inquiry with pricing indications, follow-up questions, or bindable options; maintain the e-signature audit trail required by law; and improve this website. We do not use your information for automated underwriting decisions without human broker review.
Sharing and disclosure
Submitted applications are emailed via Resend (our transactional email provider) to our internal brokerage mailbox for review, and a confirmation summary is emailed to you. We may share application details with insurance carriers or wholesalers as part of shopping your submission for coverage, and with service providers who process data on our behalf (e.g., email delivery, hosting) under confidentiality obligations. We do not sell your personal information.
Cookies and measurement
This site may use privacy-respecting analytics (such as Google Analytics) to understand aggregate traffic and which pages and steps of the application are most used, so we can improve the experience. Analytics data is aggregated and is not used to make individual coverage decisions. You can control cookies through your browser settings.
